In teoria una non esclude l'altra visto che tra Parigi e Berlino intercorrono quasi 6 mesi.
Per quanto riguarda gli approvvigionamenti non ho capito bene: cioè l'idea è di far correre tutti con la borraccia??

Hydration on race day in an eco-friendly way
This year, you can stay hydrated while contributing to a more environmentally friendly event. Two options are available for hydration stations:

Option 1: Bring your own hydration container! Reusable cups, flasks, or hydration packs. Volunteers will be available to help refill your containers.
Option 2: Pre-filled cardboard cups will be available. Pre-filled cardboard cups will be available at each hydration station! This year, the distance between hydration stations will be shorter to allow you to refill your container more frequently and without long waits. The number of hydration points will significantly increase, especially on the second half of the course. Additional sprinklers will be set up in case of high temperatures.

Hydrating Responsibly on Race Day
This year, it will be possible to hydrate while contributing to a more environmentally friendly event. Here's how you can get water during the event:

Bring your own hydration container: reusable cup, flask, hydration pack.

Stations will allow you to fill your containers independently.
This year, there will be less distance between each refreshment point to allow you to fill your container frequently and without waiting. Indeed, the number of refreshment points will increase significantly, especially in the second part of the course.

Additional water spray stations will be set up in case of high heat.

Ormai l'indirizzo turistico di queste manifestazioni è largamente predominante rispetto a quello sportivo, ha senso aderire se il proprio interesse è quello.
Dal punto di vista dell'ambiente mi preme ricordare che l'impatto di una grande maratona è stimato nell'ordine di 30mila tCO2 (il 98+ percento di cui è dovuto ai trasporti dei partecipanti), per cui con circa 10 partecipanti in meno ci copri 600mila bicchieri compostabili.

Sposti 55.000 persone in aereo e il problema sono i bicchieri di carta riciclata (e riciclabile)? O le bottigliette di plastica? Come on...
